1. Enrolment

  • Schools must register for the competition on or before 25/10/2021.
  • The registration should be done online by filling the e-entry form at: https://tellatale.teacupp.com/register
  • The registration for the competition will start on 20/09/2021 to 9:00 p.m. on 25/10/2021. Late entries will not be accepted.
  • Each school can register only once for the competition.
  • The school name, address, contact teacher’s name, email and telephone must be clearly specified in the form.
  • Registration quota – The registration is limited to 50 schools on a first-come-first-served basis.
  • These 50 schools will be comprised 2 groups:
  • Group A: Local Regular Primary Schools
  • Group B: Special Educational Needs Schools
  • The registration results will be notified by email to the successful schools as well as announced on the competition website: https://tellatale.teacupp.com
  • The competition is school-based and the participants of the competition must be the students of one of the successfully registered schools.
  • 2. Competition Format

  • For all the participating schools, a 60-minute online briefing-cum-orientation session will be arranged on 30/10/2021. The briefing- cum-orientation will be arranged in two sessions: Morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • The briefing-cum-orientation sessions will be for the school teachers and academic staff involved detailing the format, process and guidelines of the competition followed by a teacher’s workshop on using storytelling and story writing techniques.
  • It will be followed by a Q & A session.
  • There will be three rounds in the competition:
  • Round 1 – Preliminary- Story writing (intra-school)
  • Round 2 – Qualifier- Story narration  (intra-school)
  • Round 3 – Final- Storytelling (inter-school)
  • Two online workshops will be held to prepare the students for the competition.
  • First workshop for individual schools before the Preliminary Round on story writing.
  • Second workshop students participating in the Qualifier Round on story narration.
  • The second workshop will be an essential prerequisite to enter the Qualifier and the Final Round.
  • Participating students of both groups will be put into one of the following categories based on their grades independently:
  • Category 1 – Primary 1 and Primary 2 students
  • Category 2 – Primary 3 and Primary 4 students
  • Category 3 – Primary 5 and Primary 6 students
